Nope, the algorithm they used was a joke. It had no understanding of actual typography and a completely meaningless scoring system that seemed designed to scare people. For instance, we just sold a house that got a “9 out of 10” on the system. We have had up to 6” of water in the basement in a very

"It is. Are you?" Not any more alas. And the typography of its front page in the '90s and early '00s should be legendary. I'd love to see some of those red and black front pages again.

I've been looking through my digital collection of psychedelic 60s posters in order to get into the grove with creating this style of typography, since I'm really out of practice (it's for new stickers) and it's making me really nostalgic but in a nice way

“When Patriotism Becomes Apostasy: A Warning From Scripture”
Beloved, we are living in days when the line between the Kingdom of God and the kingdoms of men is being deliberately blurred. The recent Labor Department post proclaiming, “The fight for Western Civilization has begun – and Americanism will prevail,” wrapped in imagery echoing Confederate symbols and Nazi-style typography, is not merely bad taste or political propaganda — it is theological rebellion. It is apostasy.

Why?
Because any movement that mixes nationalism + religious destiny becomes a rival gospel. When political leaders and their followers invoke language of salvation — “Americanism will prevail” — they rewrite the message of Scripture. They exchange Christ the King (Rev. 11:15) for a new object of trust, a new savior, a new kingdom made by human hands. Scripture calls this idolatry.

Jesus never said, “The Kingdom of America is at hand.”
He said, “My kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36).

Paul never preached, “Western Civilization will prevail.”
He preached Christ crucified (1 Cor. 2:2).

When political movements use religious fonts, religious phrases, and religious tones to inspire devotion, fear, and loyalty, they mimic ancient empires — Egypt, Babylon, Rome — all of which demanded civilizational allegiance and wrapped their power in sacred symbolism. This is exactly the apostasy Jesus warned of: a people who honor God with their lips but whose hearts belong to another king.

Beloved, this is how Christian nationalism becomes an Antichrist religion. It does not deny Christianity outright — it absorbs it, empties it, and replaces Christ with a golden image of nation, tribe, or ideology.

The Confederacy invoked Christianity.
Nazi Germany invoked Christianity.
Every empire that opposed God claimed God was on its side.

But Scripture declares something terrifying:

> “The nations roar… but the Lord will rebuke them.”
—Isaiah 17:12–13

Those of you that made it to Finfur Animus this year may have seen this handsome fellow on the con game's cards, drawn by yours truly! With thanks to @hohtis.bsky.social for the typography, they certainly are more in tune with the art of text than I am hah
A portrait of an anthro elk, grinning at the viewer with a glass of wine lifted to their mouth. Their smile noticeably has a fang, their eyes a black sclera and a white-red iris and they're lit from below, giving them an ominous look.

Did the student demonstrate that she read the article? Did the student engage with the substance of the article in a thoughtful fashion, where "thoughtful" is broadly defined to include assessing the article as a scientific work and/or object of study? Did the student write clearly?
This assignment was locked Nov 9 at 11:59pm. You must write a 650 words (body of text), double-spaced reaction paper demonstrating that you read the assigned article, and includes a thoughtful reaction to the material presented in the article. Points will be deducted when papers are deficient in any of these areas. I will deduct 10 points if your paper is between 620 and 649 words, and I will not give
credit for papers under 620 words. Papers not turned in by the deadline will not receive credit. Please remember that your reaction paper should not be a summary, but rather a thoughtful discussion of some aspect of
the article. Possible approaches to reaction papers include:
1. A discussion of why you feel the topic is important and worthy of study (or not)
2. An application of the study or results to your own experiences
3. An application of the study or results to observations about other behaviors 4. Linking the objectives or findings from the assigned article to other domains of development or other findings that we
read about or discuss in class
5. A suggestion for further studies or experiments that might help researchers better understand the topic being studied
6. Alternate interpretations of the researchers' findings
7. A discussion of how development in this domain might proceed differently at other developmental stages
8. Your own thoughts about how development proceeds in the domain being researched in the article There are other possibilities as well. The best reaction papers illustrate that students have read the assigned materials and
engaged in critical thinking about some aspect of the article.
Formatting requirements: 12-point Times New Roman or Calibri font, one-inch margins on all sides.
GRADING: Reaction papers are graded on a 25-point scale, and are evaluated based on the following:
1. Does the paper show a clear tie-in to the assigned article? (10 points)
2. Does the paper present a thoughtful reaction or response to the article, rather than a summary? (10 points)
3. Is the paper clearly written? (5 points)

Like most takeovers, it was described as "more of a merger than a takeover"; as usual, this was false. HP engs complained that Apollo engs were arrogant; hence this T-shirt I just rediscovered, in Apollo's trademark royal blue and typeface.
Crumpled blue T-shirt. The front says, in a white sans-serif font, "arrogant..."

I found the directions for this essay assignment. it's obvious that this student failed to meet these standards, but the point here is that TPUSA's goal is to lower the standards so that views and writing like this is acceptable at the college level and that trans faculty are fired for being trans.

small no kings protest in front of a shopping center in #chulavista eastlake today. great to see ppl out. there was some sort of an accident by the time i left the shopping center, not sure if a person was hit, but saw 1 laying on the sidewalk &car parts strewn abt 300 ft. i hope they are okay.
A group of people stands on a sidewalk, protesting, with signs and a rainbow flag, their actions and expressions conveying a message of resistance.

The scene captures a street-level view of a protest, with three main figures positioned along a sidewalk. A man holding a sign stands to the left. In the center, a woman holds a rainbow flag. To the right, another person holds up a yellow t-shirt with a message. The framing is a medium shot, capturing the subjects from the waist up. Their positioning along the sidewalk creates a sense of engagement, potentially highlighting their presence within the public space. The timing seems to be during the day, as sunlight clearly illuminates the scene, enhancing visibility and allowing the protesters to be seen by passersby.

The key subjects consist of several individuals. One man on the left has a light-colored complexion with short gray hair, wearing a gray t-shirt, khaki pants, and a baseball cap. He holds a sign, with details of its message unclear. In the center, a woman with gray, curly hair wears sunglasses, a light-colored shirt, and a dark blue cardigan. She holds a colorful rainbow flag. The person on the right, appears to be holding a bright yellow t-shirt with the word "RESIST!" written on it, along with a message encouraging a peaceful and purposeful approach to resistance. They wear light blue flared jeans and white shoes.

The photograph, appears to be a snapshot, captured with a natural, unposed style. The composition, although straightforward, effectively captures the core of the protest. There is a lack of heavy editing or filters, and the visual elements show clarity. The focus is sharp, highlighting the subjects. The image employs a naturalistic approach, favoring a documentary style that captures the authenticity of the moment.
The image depicts a man in a motorized wheelchair holding a sign with a message of love and positivity, positioned on a sidewalk in an outdoor setting.

The scene is composed with the man and his wheelchair centered on a sidewalk, framed by a grassy area on one side and the road's edge on the other. The man is holding a rectangular sign in front of him, drawing the viewer's eye. Behind him is a building with green shrubbery. The composition is straightforward, focusing on the man and his message. The timing appears to be daytime, likely a sunny day.

The primary subject is a middle-aged man with short hair wearing sunglasses, a hat, and what appears to be a dark uniform. He's seated in a motorized wheelchair, and his expression is neutral. He's holding a sign with the text "LOVE NOT HATE IS WHAT MAKES AMERICA GREAT-" in a bold, sans-serif font against a red background. The sign is positioned to be easily visible.

The image is a photograph, and the technical execution is straightforward, with a focus on documenting the scene. The style is documentary, capturing the scene as it is. The choice of subject matter and sign's message are the creative elements that communicate the subject's perspective.

The setting appears to be an outdoor location, with a sidewalk alongside a grassy area next to a road, and buildings in the background. The lighting is bright, indicating a sunny day. The surroundings create a sense of place, with the buildings and the natural elements framing the main subject. The atmosphere is one of peaceful protest.

Yeah I license fonts as part of my pricing (I cover up to $30 of a license). I can’t do custom typography at all, I don’t have the mind for it. Best I can do is modify an existing one.
