we even have paid industry analysts coming out and saying 'yeah you shouldn't try to make broad appeal AAA games anymore basically everyone has more niche tastes in one direction or another now' and it still doesn't matter, no, Big Game, only Big Game

“Play Indie Games!” they say in the replies. But that’s not a real solution. Both Indie games and AAA are using Gen Ai. And no studio has legal obligation to tell you they use Gen Ai. And Steam does not require you to disclose the use of Gen Ai for coding or marketing. Be careful what you buy.

“It’s hard to avoid playing games with Gen Ai in them.” Play old games. Play games from 2008. Play games from 1998. Play games from 1988.
