I think long form storytelling works for “women’s stories” better, too. A novel by a man about family drama is literature, it’s chic lit by a woman, etc, but the small drama of daily life is the arena of women’s stories and tv is good for it. I wish it was valued more, female stories just aren’t.

I enjoyed this quite a bit. The comedy element of it is very understated (thought there's a couple of very funny bits). It's a well-written, mournful film about aging and fear of death, with three first rate performances from George Burns, Art Carney & Lee Strasberg. Very bittersweet.

We truly don't get out much together apart from skip runs, shopping trips, vet appointments, accompanying each other to appointments, and the very odd walk. This hedge-witch soul with green thumbs birthed a city child who hates the outdoors and all bugs. It'll be nice just having a day out for fun 😀
