This new episode of Lanterns was probsbly my favourite episode yet. John Stewart's parents are insane and Laura Linney killed it as one of the Guardians. I hope we see more of her. #lanterns #dc #dcstudios #lanternshbo

We really need to start teaching media literacy in schools. I just saw someone say episode three was all about turning John into a good little WWII German who just followed orders. That is was character assassination. 1/8 #Lanterns

I've got a few more interviews with our #Furious faves for finale week, starting with creator Liz Meriwether, who revealed her biggest inspirations for Hulu's crime thriller (beyond 1987's Black Widow) and why she definitely has ideas for Season 2:

At first I wasnt sure about Lanterns, but now 3 episodes in, I'm willing to see where it goes. Hal Jordan was always Green Lantern to me growing up, so I'm a bit biased. But it's compelling so far. Just hope they do the characters justice. #Lanterns www.imdb.com/title/tt2654...

Tomorrow is pub day for How to Build a #RobotBoyfriend! And with everything set for the launch, I wanted to share the author's note, which offers some context/history on this project, along with a pledge that matters more than ever right now. Pre-orders still open! www.amazon.com/dp/B0HFKPGFJ5
Screenshot of text:

Author's Note

I began writing How to Build a (Robot) Boyfriend in
December 2013, and completed the first draft about a year later, followed by a second draft in 2015. I began revising it once more in 2021, before putting it in the metaphorical drawer in early 2022.

I mention this because it feels important to know
that this book was originally conceived and written well before the advent of AGI, LLM, and all the other potentially dystopian technologies that have become a constant talking point in recent years. While I've updated key details of the story—which had always been set in a nebulous near-future—to make it work for this brave new world of ours, it's still based in an outlook on artificial intelligence that's far more optimistic and positive than many people feel right now. (Including myself, if I'm going to be honest.)
At the end of this humble novel, you'll find a much
longer afterward about this project, but I wanted to mention that bit up front. Also, in case it needs saying: Absolutely zero AGI was used in the creation, editing, production, and promotion of this book.
Thank you so much for being here, and for reading.

ABC's no-viewer-left-behind campaign to get America to sample its (excellent) young show RJ DECKER continues this fall. The show's Sept. 15 season premiere will get *two* encore showings within a week: Friday at 8 and Sunday at 8. That'll get it in front of the Wheel/Jep audience and the AFHV crowd

So in the end, shuffling AJ Ewing off center for a month was about saving Steve Cohen 6 million bucks? Luis Robert is absolutely going to have a Beltran-Astros 1.0 postseason to spite the #Mets The universe demands it

The Baltimore Orioles are claiming Luis Robert Jr. off waivers, according to multiple people familiar with the situation.

Late to the party, but I'm catching up on Sterling Point. Loving the CW show nonsense of it. There're on a remote Canadian island only accessed by plane / boat…somehow, they can pop over to a nearby (?) nightclub. They also conveniently keep running into NYC friends. Good stuff
