Great to see Illinois’ next U.S. Senator, @julianastratton.bsky.social, at DNC HQ today! We need fighters like Juliana in the Senate—we’re all-in to help bring her to Washington this November.

Another Midway Blitz defendant struck a deal with the feds today that could lead to dropped charges. Benjamin Carter admitted punching the rear windshield of a government SUV. The charges said it belonged to Homeland Security. He must perform 30 hours of community service.
By signing this agreement, defendant admits the following facts and agrees that these admissions may be used against him in any proceeding for any purpose, including as admissions, in the event that the government subsequently determines that he has breached this agreement and the United States resumes or institutes prosecution of the charges against defendant in the information, or any other charge:

At approximately 11 a.m. on Oct. 9, 2025, in Aurora, Illinois, near the intersection of east New York Street and north Madison Street, defendant Benjamin Carter walked up to a dark colored Jeep SUV, which was slowly driving away from the area. Defendant knew that the dark colored Jeep SUV was a government vehicle. Defendant punched the rear windshield of the SUV with his right fist, causing the rear windshield to shatter and leaving a hole in the windshield where defendant had punched.

After defendant punched the vehicle, defendant ran away, but was pursued by local law enforcement officers, who arrested defendant. Defendant acknowledges that the cost to repair the windshield was $440.91.

The Infowars news is funny, yes. But more importantly, it is an outright rebuke of Alex Jones' evil. It's testament to the strength and resilience of the Sandy Hook families who survived this bullshit for more than a decade as well as the Onion, which didn't give up on this for the last 18 months.

The Onion plans to turn Infowars into a comedy site with satirical echoes of the fringe conspiracy theories that Mr. Jones is known for. Tim Heidecker, one of the comedians behind ā€œTim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!ā€ on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, has been hired to serve as ā€œcreative director of Infowars.ā€ He said he initially plans to parody Mr. Jones’s ā€œwhole modus operandi.ā€

Mr. Heidecker has been working on his impression of Mr. Jones. But eventually, when that joke gets old, Mr. Heidecker said that he hoped to turn Infowars into a destination for independent and experimental comedy.

ā€œI just thought it would be just a beautiful joke if we could take this pretty toxic, negative, destructive force of Infowars and rebrand it as this beautiful place for our creativity,ā€ Mr. Heidecker said in an interview. During a recent trip to Philadelphia, he traveled to the Liberty Bell to film a video in character as the new creative director of Infowars.
