At the risk of engaging in stale discourse, I think the real risk of the democrats pulling the trigger and shutting down the government over the dirty CR in April or whatever wasn’t what Schumer said about courts, it was that Dems would blink first and cave and get blamed for it all.

I forget who said it during the 1st Trump administration but to paraphrase them it seemed like Schumer was picked for leadership expecting it to be him rubberstamping stuff to get signed by a Dem president and was unprepared for a republican president. That has rang true for 9 years.

Schumer thought that a government shutdown would be worse because Trump could use it to accelerate the destruction of the executive branch. But now they lost whatever leverage they had and they’re getting $171B to put people in camps www.liberalcurrents.com/mass-deporta...

I do understand the “allow courts to operate” thought but on balance I think Schumer made an error. Courts haven’t been that successful you’d be better off shutting it down and force concessions.

This line, like so many in that execrable book, perfectly captures Schumer: it uses too-awkward-to-be-true prose to make a too-reprehensible-to-be-believed point

LOL at the people commenting under every Dem post, especially Leader Schumer's and Leader Jeffries's: "Step aside and pass the torch!" Pass it to whom? Who don't these commenters hate? Non-Dem Bernie and AOC? So disregard the will of the voters? The left is as authoritarian as the right.

Mass Deportation Is Happening

The Republican Congress has signaled they will do whatever it takes to support the largest population expulsion in history.

Yes. The reconciliation bill that passed yesterday is a direct consequence of @schumer.senate.gov’s failure to fight on the CR three months ago. Some Dem Senators and Representatives want to fight. But Schumer and Jeffries like their jobs, and like the status quo, and they stop Dems from fighting.

That vote gave Donald Trump and the congressional GOP months to plan their bill, and gather the necessary support. And it avoided a government shutdown in March and the fight then, in which Democrats would have had an upper hand, over the budget. And why did Schumer hand the GOP such a gift? 2/

"On Tuesday, in the wake of perhaps the most catastrophic vote in American history, Schumer immediately ran off to post this on Elon Musk’s crooked social media platform. It might be the most 2025 Democratic thing I have ever seen"
Well, that’s the electrifying Schumer himself burying his face in the lectern, surrounded by Senator Patty Murray who is burying her face in her hands, Senator Jack Reed who is burying himself in sleep, and some dude on the lower-right with the thought-bubble over his head that reads: “Please, God, just bury me now …”

THIS is who is leading the Left while Trump and his Orcs drag us into hell.

They’ll need 60 votes to move it. Do you think Schumer’s ten losers will cave again?

Stealing as much as they can before the midterms

Hey Schumer, how did that “vote to keep the government open because otherwise they will do horrible things” strategy work out? No new horrible things?

The Dem Party's establishment men creep me out. Cuomo, Fetterman, Schumer, Jeffries, Torres, etc. all have dead eyes like the GOP and they're obvious puppets... but then here comes Zohran Mamdani from the NYS assembly who takes USA by storm and inspires millions. I'm very optimistic for the future.

I cannot WAIT until she takes Schumer's seat.
Social media post:

Sen. Lisa Murkowski @lisamurkowski
This was one of the hardest votes I have taken
during my time in the Senate.

My goal throughout the reconciliation process has
been to make a bad bill better for Alaska, and in ...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
@AOC

This isn't about you.

This is about the 17 million Americans
whose health insurance you're taking
away.

And after you turned your back on them
to vote "YES", you said your fellow House
GOP should vote NO.

Americans are going to suffer. YOU admit
that. And YOU supported it.

Every single Dem voted no on this bill btw regardless on how you feel on Schumer

There are about 20 Democrats fighting tooth and nail for Americans.......Schumer is not one of them.
