The media needs to stop writing headlines like “The CDC changes course on vaccines and autism” and “The CDC defends measles response”. NONE of this is coming from legitimate scientists at the CDC. ALL of it is coming from RFK Jr. Every such headline is causing further harm to public health.

"Secretary Kennedy has been very clear that vaccination is the most effective way to prevent measles. Any attempts to spin this are baseless”. I’m so damned tired of this nonsense statement re. RFK Jr. For 20 years he has been systematically undermining vaccines. He continues to lie about them.

As measles rages in S Carolina notice that those responding to this outbreak on the frontlines are pediatricians, family med practitioners, nurses and local public health officials. Not the wellness influencers and podscasters who discourage vaccination. Arsonists NEVER put out fires they start

The advice follows a familiar script: You should vaccinate your kids, but it's your choice.

Oops, I did it again: I clicked into the comments on a FB post about measles cases. Here are the post & first 3 comments. (I stopped scrolling pretty quickly, b/c I'm queasy.) It's like watching a train wreck, except with the longest train ever - falling cars stretching way off into the distance.
FB post from Protect Our Care: "As measles cases soar and hundreds quarantine across South Carolina, the US now stands poised to lose its elimination status of measles.

Fox News medical contributor says: Unfortunately, the way things are going right now with the CDC and the current vaccination advisory committees, we’re seeing even more mistrust and confusion… and we’re going to see more measles cases."
First 3 comments:

"We’re all vaccinated for measles. So try again. I don’t think newborns are suddenly spreading measles."

"Things that didnt happen for 500"

"Why aren’t the 'journalists' recommending non vaccine, common sense care, like Vit A?"

There is a measles outbreak spreading rapidly in South Carolina. Already, 111 people have contracted the virus. Measles was “declared eliminated from the United States in 2000.” But that is due to the effectiveness of the MMR vaccine. In Spartanburg County, the immunization rate in schools is 90%.
