It’s very situation specific. For my music with my voice., I track with a Shure Beta87a, but I also sound good through an SM7. On the drum kit live, The combination of sound and ease of use makes the Sennheiser e604 my favorites for toms and often snare. D71c is my favorite inside kick mic.

man, I really hope this new SH-101 type synth from Donner turns out to be good and outsells the Behringer clone. I'm tempted to grab one myself if it turns out to be decent
