Played Mac Attack like 4 hours. Lost.

Schedule for the first week of December! Not too much happening this week after the wild streaming marathon that was J4D3SG1V1NG, just returning to the TTRPG campaigns and working more on Quake 3 modding! Should be a relaxing time over on Tw1tch!

Something silly that I’ve always wanted to do is build a gaming setup specifically for games like Mechwarrior and Armored Core where the controls and chair and everything are set up like an actual mech cockpit. Like even build it to where if I get hit in the game it jostles me IRL.

Wellp.. my spouse is at a Battletech competition for 12 hours on Saturday, and his sister is interpreting for a play that day, and her husband will be delivering mail, so guess who’s babysitting two babies and two toddlers by themself!!! 😬

its either this or mechwarrior/mekton, and those are for a specific kind of player i think lol

from the descriptions, I'm imagining Genetor is built half like one of those siege golems from GW2 and half like a Blood Asp from MechWarrior

I also ran one of the first missions, the players decided to punch the Falcons in the nose. They won, but took a beating, but did not get a total victory. The Bane and the Locust IIC escaped. #Battletech

Actually playing Marik today but I haven’t made any tokens for them yet. 🤷‍♂️ They actually didn’t do half bad. About 5pts of damage over two turns. I’m trying to use more infantry in games as they make up the bulk of Inner Sphere forces. #battletech

Ran my first #Battletech ACES game. We played the intro BattleROM mission, though I let the players pick their own 'Mechs. Despite this, I did kill the Caesar and the Vapor Eagle, but they got the Timber Wolf T and the Pouncer Prime. It was a blast.

Playing the Shadows of Kerensky DLC for mechwarrior 5; and 3 things strike me. 1) thank heck I play this friends, playing solo would be horrific 2) why are the Clanners obsessed with shooting us in the head? 3) Elemental swarms are terrifying

Plenty of good ones out there, I would avoid the really low end ones. Once you have one, also download the tasker app and set up a routine to make it play the MechWarrior startup sound ("Reactor online, Sensors online, Weapons online. All systems nominal") when it connects...

I wasn't planning on getting any more miniatures to paint but I saw a Battletech mini set that had a King Crab and I love the King Crab so I bought it even though I don't play Battletech and now I'm gonna have 5 extra minis I don't need all because I wanted a King Crab mini to paint and stare at

This was my introduction to Battletech, which was really confusing when I got MW4:Mercs 20 years later and couldn't find any mechs that I recognized. (The SNES game uses all original non-canon designs, being a port of a heavily altered Japanese localization of the PC version of Mechwarrior 1.)
