Die Volkswagen-Connect-Integration fĂźr Home Assistant kann nach dem Update auf Version 5.5.1 wieder auf VW-Fahrzeuge zugreifen. Die inoffizielle Integration war zuvor ausgefallen, nachdem Volkswagen den benĂśtigten API-Zugriff beziehungsweise den Anmeldeprozess verändert hatte. Mit Version 5.5.1 wurde nun offenbar der Login-Mechanismus angepasst. Erste Nutzer berichten wieder von einer erfolgreichen Verbindung mit ihren Fahrzeugen. Damit stehen auch zahlreiche Fahrzeugdaten und Funktionen wieder fĂźr Dashboards und Automatisierungen in Home Assistant zur VerfĂźgung. Dazu gehĂśren je nach Fahrzeug unter anderem Batteriestand, Reichweite, Standort, TĂźren und Fenster sowie die Standklimatisierung. Volkswagen Connect 5.5.1 behebt Verbindungsprobleme…

Same. Last time I dabbled with HomeAssistant it duplicated all my devices and I went back to Google Home exclusively. Now that I have a good reason to ditch Home completely, I'm probably going to have to fire that back up. I'm not going to use Gemini.

if you have a Litter-Robot 4 connected to Home Assistant and want to cut its cloud dependency, I really recommend this custom ESPHome-based firmware: codeberg.org/Joseph-DiGio... it requires some extra hardware and a little bit of soldering but it's not too bad!

Smart Meter sind vielleicht Smart, aber das Backend der Messestellenbetreiber eher so semi wie es scheint. @tibberde.bsky.social scheint die Daten nicht mit ihrem eigenen Pulse zu korrelieren oder die realen Zählerstände auf Plausibilität zu prßfen. Mal schauen was als Monatsabrechnung kommt...
Auszug Verbrauch Tibber, 315,04 kWh Verbrauch innerhalb von 60 Minuten. Vermtl. Fehler im Backend des Messestellenbetreibers.
Auszug Zählerstand aus den Home Assistant Aufzeichnungen. Realverbrauch des Tages ca. 20 kWh.

Bought a little pixel display because I thought it would be nice if it automatically showed the album art for whatever I’m playing. Several hours, one Home Assistant server, a virtual machine, AppDaemon, some hacked Python and an unreasonable amount of swearing later… it does. 😂

@Ryanteck yes, VW app is fine - as long as you don't want to automate anything. I like to auto-set the charging target when I'm at home, and also track the vehicle's effective range... Anyway: it's all back and working now 👍

@clanger9 Oddly though I've found VWs app ok so far. One of the things I used Hassio for was to provide a widget of range on my phone but the VW app has that.
