If you are facing a deficit of 200k units by 2040, you simply must build more housing. Public, market rate, whatever you want - ideally all kinds.
Iām begging political parties in supply-constrained cities to stop focusing on ideas that are basically just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

In fairness to the senate/house need to maintain two housing accommodations, so I get the salary. However, my empathy stops right there.
Their self appointed pension and healthcare plans are over the top. We must enact term limits from SCOTUS on down.

a ui scale slider that tops out at 100 percent is not a slider, its a decoration. we ship mostly to phones so every hud element gets argued about at thumb size and we still get it wrong, but the two fixes are always the same, let people resize it and let people move it. hope the eyes ease up soon.

Last night, an exhibition I've been working on was launched at Cromford Mills in Derbyshire to mark 250 years since building of 2nd mill (blue print for cotton factories worldwide) and early industrial housing. It's open all weekend, with lots of activities. Critique my graphic design efforts!

3 points:
1) Most private rented properties aren't on a BTL mortgage
2) Landlords don't charge a rent that merely meets their mortgage so can absorb a rent freeze
3) There is a very strong case for capping interest rates (either thru regulation or thru a windfall tax on banks that subsidises that)

This chart is why you can't simply measure the housing crisis in terms of rent as a % of income. Above a certain level letting agents will deem you unable to afford the tenancy so you're basically stuck with your folks.
