Chris Christie just made a very accurate statement on "This Week" in relation to witkoff's praise of pootin: "This is what happens when you send a real estate broker to do the work of a diplomat". A regime of lost amateurs.

That's expensive real estate right chair. Obviously an LLC.

This is a comically exaggerated version of a longstanding bias against cities in American culture. The fact that it is being championed by a shady real estate guy from Queens is a little weird.

Nearly $1.9 billion approved for military family housing, but service members & families are still dealing w/mold, sewage, failing HVAC systems, and unsafe living conditions. This isn’t one military base. It’s a systemic problem documented by the Government Accountability Office. #SupportTheTroops

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about retirement and how quickly it’s approaching. Two years are going to pass in the blink of an eye. Between my military pension, VA benefits, and GI Bill housing allowance, I’ll be in a position where I have no reason have to work.

This doesn’t include housing, but the actual suny flagship, UB, costs $11,000/year in tuition and fees for undergrad. Still a bargain even at 4x what it cost me when I attended in the 90s. www.buffalo.edu/studentac…

Private Equity is doing the same thing to MANY markets. It’s why hundreds of hospitals have closed and medical costs have skyrocketed. They’ve captured everything from real estate to veterinary clinics to making fire trucks. To properly loot a while populace, first you need a Private Equity firm.

Housing becoming your retirement account filled the gap left by the death of the defined pension plan and was furthered by consistently low interest rates that made it even harder to build wealth without asset inflation that only home ownership could provide.

Cost of living crisis, climate change, medical insurance access, infrastructure, housing, food production, etc. Unclear to me that AI addresses this stuff. If it can be used to process data to speed up medical tech dev etc, that might be good. I'm not seeing it tho. pump the brakes.

I think the BC Cons are mostly looking bad, but they've been intentionally vague on some things. BC NDP were looking better but they fumbled a lot of their ambitious legislation when in office, and housing was generally an afterthought for everyone this election IMO.
