Why these incredibly rich folks think they need even more money at the expense of their workers is absolutely beyond me. How many Ferraris or country estates or whatever does one person need? And at the expense of ICs getting, say, dental care? This is Friedmanesque late-stage capitalism.

It's also important to note that while this is an extreme example, I've seen depressed pay numbers basically everywhere. It is clear tech companies are putting downward pressure on salaries for individual contributor (ICs, ie non-management) roles. Meanwhile C-suite "compensation" has exploded.
