Ch 21-25: Huck finally seeing the king and duke’s tricks as horrible. Still thinking he knows what’s best for Jim (not admitting those two aren’t royalty). Jim is trapped on the raft a lot, I don’t blame him for being tired of those two. 🛶

Listening to back episodes of this great podcast... just learned about the existence of "Finn", a prequel to HF that supplies Huck's backstory.
Sounds like a deeply unpleasant read but thought I'd mention it in case anyone's interested. 🛶

The mothers and Jim see the baby as a person, Solomon and Huck see it as property, and given that Jim himself is seen as property, he knows better than that! Such a great Twain is not Huck moment 🛶
