Mars hates pumpkin spice but only because he is sort of an eldritch being and can eat anything, so he eats radium and stuff like gravel, even though it gives him a tummy ache Rory doesn't really like it but is also embarrassed about drinking treats in public. Laden doesnt need to eat anymore

It's pumpkin spice flavor season! Does your original character care for it? Or are they more irritated that it's everywhere? Perhaps they don't care at all? #OCASK #OCQOTD #OCSKY

ALT TEXT 2/2

Porn of fantasy or transfem bodies is mistakingly labeled and tagged as intersex. Right now, in our online subculture, most people's knowledge of intersex comes from unrealistic porn that perpetuates misinformation and fetishization of real intersex bodies. Please do not tag porn of transfem or dualsex bodies as intersex unless they have a specific intersex variation - What about words like "hermaphrodite" or "futanari" - Under no circumstance is it ever appropriate to call intersex (or perisex transfems) these words. They are derogatory and dehumanizing slurs (- another drawing of the puppy)

Are trans people intersex? No. Some trans people (like myself) are born with an intersex variation, but transgender people are not inherently intersex. Being transgender refers to your gender identity while being intersex refers to being born with sex characteristics different from the typical male or female. While there is significant overlay with our experiences, we have our own issues and need our own language to advocate for them. And that is okay! (drawings of two happy puppies, one intersex and one trans, saying "best friends!" and "yay!")

Can you become intersex? No. You can't become intersex. This is harmful because it treats intersex as a distinct third sex, when the reality is being intersex is a wide variation of sex traits. There is no one intersex body. This plays into the fetishization of intersex people as an idealized androgynous hermaphrodite. The reality is that intersex people and bodies are not inherently androgynous nor do we necessarily want to be considered as androgynous. Some individuals want to medically transition in a way that gives them both male and female sex traits to be more androgynous, which is completely fine. Instead of using the word "intersex," you could use "altersex" or "Salamacian." (drawings of two happy puppies: one nonbinary saying "I'm getting metoidioplasty" and one intersex saying "yay!")

What is your experience with being intersex? I didn't know I was intersex until recently. Growing up, my body was always different to other people, which got way worse during puberty. I was bullied whenever we had to change clothes and everyone treated me like I was gross. I thought I was broken, not feminine enough to be a girl but not masculine enough to be a boy. People often treat me like a mistake that, in an ideal world, wouldn't exist. Or a rhetorical pawn that doesn't deserve a voice because intersex people are a small minority, or as a fetish based on porn made by perisex people. Other trans people treat me with suspicion, sometimes jealousy, or assume I am infiltrating our community. In general, I often feel erased by trans discourse and wish that other trans people listened to me. But it has been very healing to meet so many other intersex trans people, and to have so much support from perisex trans people. (drawings of three sad intersex puppies)

How can I be a better ally to intersex people? Great question! 1. Listen to intersex people when we talk about our experiences 2. Don't make assumptions about our bodies or experiences when we mention we are intersex 3. Don't treat our bodies like disorders, mistakes, or anomalies that don't really count. 4. Don't just bring us up as a rhetorical device for arguing against transphobes, we are more than a "gotcha" edge case 5. Spread awareness of medical abuse and social stigma that intersex people face whenever relevant 6. Stop tagging porn of fictional bodies as intersex, as it leads to confusion, misinformation, and sexual harassment of intersex people 7. Kindly correct people if you see people perpetuating harmful tropes or misinformation about intersex people. (a drawing of a puppy with an intersex flag, saying "OK Bye-Bye thanks for reading")

Intersex FAQ - brought to you by an intersex person (a drawing of a happy anthropomorphic puppy in intersex colours (yellow, with a purple circle on stomach, purple tongue and purple pawpads), greeting the reader)

What is intersex? Intersex is an umbrella term for a community of people that have sex characteristics that differ from the typical male or female, and can refer to differences in reproductive organs, hormones, chromosomes, or other sex characteristics. These differences are present at birth, but may not be visible right away. Some become apparent during puberty, while some never become outwardly visible. Someone can be intersex and may not even know until they're an adult. Since there is a wide variety of intersex bodies and experiences, it is important to listen to intersex people themselves describe their experiences (- drawings of three dogs in intersex colours, each with mixed sexual features)

What is the difference between DSD and intersex? Differences/Disorders of sex development (DSD) is the medical term for intersex people. Many intersex people, including myself, do not like DSD as a term as we don't consider our bodies disordered and find that language pathologizes us. The idea that intersex variations are disorders leads to real harm done to us. (a drawing of an intersex puppy pointing to the text "Just say intersex!") (a drawing of a wolf puppy telling an intersex dog puppy "you have a disorder!" and he responding "I'm actually perfectly healthy")

What harm is done to intersex people? The biggest issue that intersex people face is through systemic medical abuse. As infants, intersex people face noncensual and medically unnecessary surgeries to make our bodies appear more male or female. In fact, in many cases these surgeries actually lead to life-long health issues like sterilization, chronic pain, loss of sexual sensation, and trauma. We are mutilated as babies, causing us to have life-long pain and trauma, and then lied to about it by our parents, all because our bodies are a little different (- a drawing of a crying puppy that appears to be bleeding but the blood is yellow, the same colour as his skin)
