Some thoughts on Danielewski as an adventure gamer's writer, with a couple of his titles fresh in my head.

I was already thinking about surveillance (ok duh) before my job (all our jobs?) became sharing more in public. Love Island really did something to me -- here's the long version

"The Coming Second Copernican Revolution" explores a profound transformation in humanity's understanding of its place in the cosmos. This new revolution is driven by astrobiology, a science revealing that nearly every star hosts planets, many potentially harboring life. #DailyPlanet

huh, i was under the impression that private data in atproto was tricky for protocol reasons. turns out that's mostly about *shared* private data (e.g. DMs, posts visible to a specific group of people). *personal* private data (e.g. drafts, bookmarks) is actually fairly simple.

„When someone brags about how much they shipped, don’t applaud. Ask where it moved the needle. Ask who it helped. Ask what would’ve happened if they’d done nothing. That’s the measure. Everything else is waste.“ renderghost.leaflet.pub/3….

Continuing our exploration of Metabolic Sovereignty, Niklas Luhmann’s concept of autopoiesis, adapted from the biological concept of the same name due to Humberto Maturana and Francisco Varela, offers a profound framework for understanding society as a self-producing and self-referential system.
