In a very real sense, Farrago has already lost, even if he wins. I am about as far from a patriot as one can get without actually falling over, but the English might claim self-effacement, irony, a love of the absurd, and anti-pomposity as saving graces. Next to Binface, Frogface looks... silly.

Many people don’t realise this is not a joke. There’s a chance, a slim one, for regime change in one of the parties that is part of the global Far Right network.

Loving how Count Binface is reminding us all of the importance of the Court Jester. Not just a caper, but someone with genuine political savvy, with insight, wit and satire, who exists to poke fun at people in power - and can get away with it, because hey look it's a joke.

Count Binface needs to win that election and if the UK has any sense it should also make him PM

At the very least I don’t think Count Binface is going to lose his deposit, and that, alone, is the greatest

Just for clarity, #Binface isn't under investigation for multiple breaches of parliamentary rules and multiple counts of money laundering And he didn't call a by-election just to try to avoid scrutiny #Clacton

If you're not following Count Binface, all I can say is "Why not?" The hero we need in these times.

On my way, Clacton.

When Binface invaded Gleeb IX he ended the eternal war DECIMATING both their weapon making and funeral director industries. So think on that before you post about him, maybe he's not such a good guy.

Caught someone on the news this morning calling Binface a BBC insider and demanding every single bit of employment be public. That's fine, he can do it after Farage.

NEW Stewart Lee column Stewart Lee on Nigel Farage vs Count Binface “A comedy writer with a refuse receptacle on his head may be the only thing that stands between Britain and fascism. He’s just the man for the job”
Move over, Nigel – it’s time for the Bin Supremacy: Stewart Lee on the Clacton byelection. Pink tinted image of Count Binface striking ‘peace’ signs

This all started as a bit if a wheeze… "I want Binface to win, and I am prepared to support him – morally, verbally and financially if that works for him." Dale Vince

What’s that, Dale? You want to give me an unconditional personal gift of £5million to do whatever I want with? Sure! I just need to fill out a form. If I didn’t declare it that would be silly.

I see that over in Clacton (in Britain), they're running a joke candidate against Count Binface.

I don't normally post political stuff but I'm making an exception. Vote Binface! 🇬🇧

Careful study of the Bayeaux Tapestry has revealed this !

Farage's little maneuver has backfired so spectacularly, he's drawn off money and bodies from Reform's candidacy in Birmingham. There is a real chance Binface can win.

I’m looking forward to the televised debate where Farage challenges Count Binface over his pledge to cap croissants at £1.00. and that’s just for starters!

the funniest thing about people demanding to know who “funds” count binface is that farage’s reason for calling the election was to prove that it doesn’t matter who funds politicians if i was jon i would claim that i simply got a five million pound gift from a friend before the election was called

Just in case anyone was wondering how the UK is doing, there's a possibility that Nigel Farage might lose his seat to an intergalactic candidate called Count Binface. Sometimes, I love this country.

I know we agreed that binface isn't really funny but I just saw that newsnight clip where he says this programme used to do serious investigative journalism but now it's like a souped up podcast panel. That was good.

Count Binface may not be another Lord Buckethead, but he's the hero England needs at this hour (and there's an heroic fox in the picture too)
