Siskiyou Mat, a low lying ceanothusb, Brook Wake Robin, trillium rivale and red currant blooms.
Elevations between sea level and 4,000 feet, 2 to 3 weeks difference in bloom

A solitary Cowslip spotted in the margins of a field in Hampshire.
I have read that Saxon women used cowslips in love potions, and the flowers were sometimes used in rituals to predict future loves. I wonder if they worked💛

Two separate clumps of white violets this week in the Medway valley. I have not seen them before round here. Fact for #storyplants : John Clare wrote a poem about violets.

Narrow-leaved Lungwort, Pulmonaria longifolia, in folk lore it it said to lift the heaviness of despair, grief and depression and open you to celebrating life and letting your own light shine in the world. It certainly lifted my spirits meeting it this week. #wildflowerhour#storyplants
