And we're done for this update... which breaks my heart more than I thought it would π
I honestly cannot share anything as a sneak peek for the last update of part 19... so I'll leave here with that kiss that makes me very emotional π₯Ί
When Isa mentions the possibility of seeing other people, Jasper suddenly snaps his head up. For him, it's out of the question, there's only Isa, and it will always be only her. Isa sighs, but she knows it must be discussed to left no room for ambiguity if they hope to improve the situation.
Having been together for so many years, it is particularly difficult for them to imagine even a moment without each other. So thinking about the more technical details of their separation seems like an impossible head and heart ache. But it has to be done, as painful as it may be.
Isa thought long and hard about this. Despite all the love she has for him, she realises that nothing works between them anymore, and it's time to try to save their relationship. Jasp is heartbroken, but knows that she's right, and places a gentle kiss on her forehead, heavier than any kiss before.
Back home, Jasper finds Isa all dressed up and lost in thought in their bedroom. Kneeling down in front of her, he tries to understand what is going on, and for the first time in a long while, when Isa meets his gaze, she finally expresses her thoughts... even though they break his heart.
Pleased that she is offering him this way out, he continues on the subject, and the atmosphere relaxes. For the first time between Emma and Jasper, the tone is not sarcastic or ironic, but a genuine moment between two long-time friends.
The wait for their food is rather silent, until Emma finally brings up the conversation about Isa again. Jasper isn't quite sure what's come over him, but he ends up saying everything that's on his mind, while avoiding her gaze, knowing full well that he'll probably only find pity there.
When Jasper slides into the chair opposite her, alone, without Isa, Em looks up from her menu, taken aback. But it's Jasper's evasive tone that makes her wonder even more: what's going on between those two? Everything seems to be going rather well on set.
And the more she takes her time, the more Elli spirals, feeling like he already ruined everything. So Erica takes a step forward and kisses her cheek gently. She wants to see where this leads, but above all she wants to take her time and not rush things, as she cares too much about their friendship.
He doesn't really know why, but Erica's presence makes him particularly nervous, to the point where he blurts out one stupid thing after another. But Erica smiles at him and places her hand on his cheek, while he raises an eyebrow, waiting for her response with an eagerness that is unusual for him.
Once the class is over, Elli takes Erica aside, determined to finally talk to her. She lets him do so, curious to see what exactly he wants. But when he puts his arm around her, she gently pulls away, realising that it is more than time to set the record straight.
Felix paints, Isaac tries to impress the pretty girl next to him, hoping to get her attention, while Erica smiles slyly at Elli, well aware that he has come to see her and not to attend a class with his grandmother.
As for Elli, he decided to pluck up his courage and go to Aria's gallery, where he knew Erica would be for her usual class. The two teens didn't spoke since their kiss, and Elli couldn't get the girl out of his head. But his friends' comments made him dwell on the situation over and over again.
Remembering how eager Emma was to leave Strangerville, Isa bursts out laughing sincerely and even suggests going out together to discuss the film and reminisce about old memories.
During the break, Emma finally manages to get a moment with Isa, who seems to have been avoiding everyone lately, especially Emma. Isa makes excuses that sound particularly insincere, but Emma prefers to focus on small talk, amused by the idea of making a film about her hometown.
So while waiting for Isa to feel ready to talk to him, Jasper buries himself in work, occupying his every thought with what would normally be mere details for any other director. The actresses sometimes grow tired of this behaviour, but the atmosphere on set remains friendly and professional.
But as the days of filming go by, Jasp senses that Isa continues to slip away from him. She's physically present, but he feels that her mind elsewhere, focused on something else, barely participating in decisions. He'd like the wall between them to come down but it only seems to be getting higher.
Jasper walks over to her and takes her in his arms as she looks up and smiles at him. Jasper is extremely worried, but Isa is actually very proud of this project, feeling that she is finally paying tribute to Rose and all the stories she has been telling her since she was a child.
Emma seems to have understood and continues to suggest changes to her role, but Jasper is no longer listening to her, his attention focused entirely on his wife, who is absorbed in reading the script just a few steps away from him.
Jasper asks to speak to Emma privately, who suddenly widens her eyes, concerned about her way of acting. But Jasper wants to talk about Isa. Emma is the person who has known her the longest, so he hopes she will understand that he wants to do everything he can to make her happy with this project.
The sequences are shot in rapid succession, with Eris and Emma both proving to be excellent actors. However, Jasper keeps stealing glances at Isa, stressed that he is not living up to her vision or that she will be disappointed with what he has done for her story.
CHAPTER EIGHT : On set
Emma is getting ready in the dressing room, but she ends up being late, as her preparations are taking time. Hearing Jasper's footsteps approaching, the make-up artist rolls her eyes, ready to put him in his place. If they let her do her job, maybe she could work faster.
We're finally done for today! Those teens are ruthless but I love them all very much and I think they have all of them every rights to feel what they are feeling right now and say what they said to each others.
Anyway! Next time we're taking a break from gen 2 to go back with gen 1... π
Gisele, who had hoped that their fling would continue at secondary school, tries to explain herself, but Simon doesn't even look at her and completely rejects her. Gisele blinks, completely stunned and disappointed by the turn of events. Maybe she was wrong about Simon...
All his life, Simon felt that he was compared to Elli, barely a year older than him. He was always calmer, more obedient, more easygoing. With Gisele, things finally seemed different, but he was wrong. Turning his back on her, he shrugs his shoulders, deciding to end things as quickly as they began.
