Walkable neighborhoods of mixed zoning make it easier for people to resist. Going "to the streets" or striking doesn't involve commuting to some common urban center for media attention.

It was worth the extra walk up to the mall for a big ol plate o Chinese food but I gotta say it sucks when there are spots where the walkability is bad. The train overpass on willingdon has distressingly low railings for a tall person.

This is one of the coolest transit priority systems I've seen - a traffic light midway along the road creates a break in traffic for buses to use as a queue jump.
