While browsing YouTube last night, my hubby & I came across a video that talked about 1970 side dishes that no 1 makes anymore. Today's dish was mentioned in the video, and now you tell me: does it deserve a place at the table? 🍽️ 🍜 #FoodSky#Cooking#Recipes#RecipeOfTheDay
Made the most summer dinner ever, with tomatoes, peppers, basil, parsley, and mint from my garden; pasta, focaccia, salami, peak-season corn, fennel, and fresh pimento peppers from the market, and bufala mozz & cannellini from the store-pasta panzanella inspired by McFadden’s Six Seasons of Pasta🌱🍽️
Sunday supper (it’s been awhile): Birria pork roast with peppers, onions, zucchini, carrots, and celery. Spanish rice, roasted broccoli, and a vegetable soup with sweet Italian sausage and rice. Everything is yummy!❤️😋🍽️🍜
tahini gochujang noodles I have been making lately. And the vendor said to me hey, yeah, I saw you post that online and I tried making it myself, it was really good. It made me so happy. I also got the Chintexle which is a smoky garlic. THAT one I am eager to put in chili. 🍽️
Loved the ground pork burgers, so back to Farm Mkt to see my pork sensei. She suggested the smoked pork chops. TBH they were a bit too 'hammy" in texture for me but good and just $9/pair. Corn picked the day before. Chared, cut & tossed with butter& seasonings. #BBQmunity 🍜🍽️
Had a hankering for Indian food and didn’t want to order takeout, so I finally tried one of my bookmarked recipes. The mattar paneer turned out quite delicious! 🍽️
Yesterday was my birthday so we tried a restaurant at the waterfront that we’d been meaning to try for a while. This was my market seafood salad & the Manchego/castelvetrano olive focaccia. Fancy lemon drink called Sicilian Summer. I also got myself a Princess Cake! Everything was great. 🍜🍽️
Had a lot of fun at the Tomato Taste yesterday! Had fun engagement with all of the market-goers. And no clear winner on which bite was everyone’s fav, so I guess I nailed it, had something for everyone. Love making food for people!🍽️ #foodsky#tomatoes#cooking
