Antique oven problems 😅 🍽️🍜
The speckled enamel interior of an oven containing an uncooked pizza. About three quarters of the pizza (width-wise, at least, which is the important dimension here) occupies nearly all of the top rack. The remaining section sits on the second rack beneath it. 
If it matters to anyone, the visible toppings are banana pepper rings and torn-up bits of fresh mozzarella.

It's Hatch chili cheeseburger time. 😋 Which is pretty much almost all the time when I cook burgers. 🍽️🍜🌶️
At the top of a round white plate is the bottom portion of the hatch chili cheeseburger, with mustard, onion, lettuce, tomato and the cheeseburger patty. Bottom right is the top half of the bun with mustard and chopped Hatch chili. And bottom left is a dill pickle half.

Sheet Pan Chicken Shawarma which we've made before, but the really interesting bit was my visiting Sis-i-L's suggestion to top the cantaloupe slices with Tajin and drizzle with Hot Honey. An easy level up if there ever was one. 🍽️🍜

Today’s cooking extravaganza: two big pans of homemade mac and cheese, chicken liver pate, big pan of lasagne using yesterday's bolognese sauce, some bacon jam, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, and blueberry pie with a crumble topping. I repurposed some leftover stuffed hot peppers that I had and stuffed them into a flour tortilla and stuffed them into an overloaded burrito and I'm having that with some sun gold cherry tomatoes to bring a little acidity with the heat of the hot peppers. 🍽️

Firing up the pizza oven tonight. Making leftovers into a pizza with chicken, feta, olives, garden chard, red peppers, tomatoes, w/a garlic oil base. I’ve also got leftover homemade pizza sauce & Italian sausage in the freezer. So I’ll make another one w/sausage, peppers & onions. Gonna be good. 😍🍜🍽️

Tonight's dinner 🍽️🍜: Lahmajun, Armenian flatbread with lamb. These were difficult to make - in particular, I found the dough extremely tricky and didn't get it right, but I ended up with something edible and delicious, so I'm not complaining too much! Recipe from www.seriouseats.com/lahma….

Oh! It’s time for my annual reminder that your favorite basic risotto with a basically 2-1 ratio of sautéed summer squash (just an absurd amount of zucchini, patty pan, crookneck, I like it thinly sliced) stirred in at the end with some chèvre and a squeeze of lemon is a perfect summer meal.🌱🍽️🍜
