EXPLANATORY | The Writings of Mark Twain (beta)
James is shorter than HF. The challenge (for me) with HF is the dialect. You do get used to it as you read on. The main challenge (again, for me) as we read is the use of a racial slur over 200 times. I never got used to it. Some editions and arguments are made to sub that with a different word.
