Tough, deft, common sense position that reflects what Americans have seen happening in Israel/Palestine with their own eyes. I can’t help thinking that a Democratic candidate who said or at least implied this in 2024 would have won.

One day we need to have a real conversation about business guys’ actual connection to reality! It’s very strange to read this. It’s totally unmoored, supported by mythology. The AI bubble is the great dunce mask off moment. An epoch of chaos will follow!

This will make some folks mad :). The best way for these grocery stores to work is if they use AI to get an edge over private grocery stores. AI is the one way for the state government to out perform private enterprises.

Not only does NVIDIA need OpenAI to make more money than NVIDIA, to justify NVIDIA’s sales there needs to be at least one maybe two other Anthropic or OpenAI scale spenders. All of this needs to happen by 2030 btw ideally earlier!

They need Nvidia level Revenue, but they won't see any of it and they have so much competition. They will Fail so Bad. Got my Popcorn Ready. Fun to Watch!

Quite the opposite! Once a company is public it can no longer do the scale of equity sales that have sustained OpenAI. Debt will be issued based on the creditworthiness of a company with negative 122% non-GAAP operating margins, below investment grade that will be unappetizing at the scale it needs.

won't their IPO give them a few years of breathing room? or even a successful ipo wouldn't be enough?

Oracle will be fine as long as OpenAI successfully hits $284 billion in annual revenue and become profitable in 2030 as projected. Otherwise Oracle’s revenue will decelerate and its debt will overwhelm its revenue. This will hurt the stock and cause Larry Ellison to face billions in margin calls.

I hope Oracle crumbles

The AI industry needs you to believe it’s real because the moment somebody breaks kayfabe everything starts looking hysterical. Everybody is blowing through their annual budgets in a few months and soon they’re all going to start realizing that this isn’t providing measurable ROI.

thank you mr zitron for these updates bc ngl i feel like this right now with how desperate they are to shove it into every crevasse of life/social media

To explain the significance of this, Anthropic moved enterprises to token-based billing in Q1 2026. This is at most four months of having to pay the true cost of their token burn and they’re already begging for mercy. AI has a revenue ceiling and an economic mismatch with its customer base.

Uber’s COO has said that it’s getting “harder to justify” its AI costs because there was no way to show a link between AI spend and any meaningful increase in useful features. This is the first time I’ve seen a company say this directly. www.businessinsider.com/uber-coo-and...

"That link is not there yet, right?" he said. think maybe implicitly there is more that is getting shipped, but it's very hard to draw a line between one of those stats and, 'Okay, now we're actually producing 25% more useful consumer features."
He said that the trade-off costs from Al are harder to justify because he can't draw a direct link. Earlier this month, CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in an earnings call that Uber was slowing hiring to counter its investments in AI.
The comment led to what he described as a
"head-exploding moment," sparking discussions about AI token consumption within the company and the trade-offs it creates, such as on head count.
He said that, based on talks with Uber's senior engineering leaders, he realized higher token usage did not translate into a proportional increase in useful consumer features.

But why is he not calling for impeachment??? This never would have happened to him if the Democrats had started pushing for it a year ago.

This photo of Andy Kim in the moments before ICE gassed everyone at Delaney Hall is going into the history books. We need more of this from our electeds.

Senator Andy Kim runs into the street as an ICE armored vehicle behind him prepares to deploy chemical agents against protestors in front of Delaney Hall concentration camp in Newark, NJ. His hands are outstretched and he appears to be shouting.

Anker’s soundcore liberty 5 pro has the single worst name for a consumer electronic this side of the Ngage but may be my favorite headphones I’ve ever used, ANC is great and the enhanced audio is genuinely great. The software is also randomly buggy because nothing can ever work correctly ever.
