When aimed at decentralized social networking services, the attacks can cause instability and outages, but not everyone is taken offline. In Bluesky’s case ... those who had moved their account to other providers, like @blackskyweb.xyz, which run on the same protocol [as Bluesky], were not impacted.

Need to articulate better but I think ~atmospheric subscription~ to publications can save us+publishers money to the extent creators can still own audience relationships & readers can still get direct updates via atproto w/o email needed…like how substack pushes in-app vs email, but creator aligned!

Firefox’s newer profiles feature is nice and I’m using it to separate work from personal stuff, but it’s still a little clunky when opening links from apps; it seems non-deterministic as to which profile it’s going to open in. I think it’s supposed to be based on which was used last?

what is the interoperability story between @skylight.social, @sprk.so, and @grain.social?
Do some have off-protocol posts? I think Spark does? Otherwise if I posted a photo or video to any atproto app, they would show up on all 3?

I've been mulling over a "League of Digital Infrastructure" (described a little bit more in a forthcoming report) making a similar point in the digital sphere. I believe the two go together.
