Firefox’s newer profiles feature is nice and I’m using it to separate work from personal stuff, but it’s still a little clunky when opening links from apps; it seems non-deterministic as to which profile it’s going to open in. I think it’s supposed to be based on which was used last?

Grafana has an assistant that basically replaces the harness I've been working on for the last few weeks and I'm grumpy as now I need to translate the whole thing into their feature set.

what is the interoperability story between @skylight.social, @sprk.so, and @grain.social?
Do some have off-protocol posts? I think Spark does? Otherwise if I posted a photo or video to any atproto app, they would show up on all 3?

I've been mulling over a "League of Digital Infrastructure" (described a little bit more in a forthcoming report) making a similar point in the digital sphere. I believe the two go together.

Happy to say this user has fully recovered their identity!!!
1. Got the private multikey from the key file in the actor’s folder of the previous PDS
2. Used it to sign serviceAuth tokens to the entryway to get the PLC updated

Another day, another odd edge case migration thing to troubleshoot. Looks like the entryway updates the user's PLC did doc if on a Bluesky PDS, and it does this by a serviceAuth token. If you migrated back, but did not update your verification method when you moved, you can lock yourself out..

Bluesky and Mastodon have been undergoing ddos attacks and not once have I seen anyone talking about the possible geopolitical motivations. They've been discussed as primarily technical issues. The who and the why matter and we should all be talking about them.
