There's an obvious symbiotic relationship between the dramatubers and the angry vitriol you see on social media. What bothers me personally is just how many professional industry types feel comfortable playing within that symbiotic circle knowing they won't get their hands dirtied by it directly.

The part that frustrates me the most is that - very often - when a major accusation is ultimately proven to be exaggerated/outright false, the people who started it simply go, “Oops! My bad” And that’s if they say ANYTHING. There is no proper closure or repair, and those who gossiped just move on.

I know I usually do a lot of collab streams these days, but I still enjoy a nice long single player experience from time to time. For those who don't know, I only did solo streams for the first 6 or so years. It's nice to return to that now and then :) (Art: @gaelfox.bsky.social)
