at this point I'm looking at my options, but it may simply be easiest to give the thing up and take the debt+credit hit. it's not like my credit can get much worse at this point, so we may just have to make do with one (still in need of repair) car for the household at this point. we'll see soon.

just got bad news from the shop. my extended warranty is expired now, didn't realize it was. they said the car needs probably around $7K of work, but may pass inspection for another year with around $2K. I can't really sell it like this, so I'll need help to do the minimum and then get rid of it.
