BC Election

Hockey game was great! 5-5 tie, defence optional. Unit the debate everyone seemed to want to be there, stay positive, and win.

Last thought for tonight: There were 0 questions explicitly about climate or the environmnent in tonight's debate Can't say I'm surprised

Ugh, sorry for the typos! I am outta practice on live posting 🥹

To sum up: Eby: Conservatives will make cuts Doerkson: Grow the economy! We will spare seniors income tax (???) Lowan: We will stand up to billionaires and big grocery

Lowan's question is about vote splitting She says BCers shouldn't have to choose between lesser evils, backs minority governments in partnership with Greens and points out BC last has a deficit following partnership with Greens

Doerkson asked how he'd keep the big Conservative tent together in government He claims Cons are completely unified, he's committed to an "abundance" of respect, willing to work with all parties

“We now move to our final topic of the night” oh great so nothing on climate change or the environment cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool #bcpoli

Asked how he'd handle a minority government, Eby says he's willing to work with "anyone in the legislature whonisnwillingnti work with us" Then says he finds it hard to imagine working with the Conservatives, brings up Merrifield and Maahs, vote to repeal the Huma Rights Code

Again I say

Tried to listen to a bit on the way out, and if I were to pick one word for the debate, it'd be joyless.
