Re: #bookbinding + #papermaking - 2 of the same (wee mahjong reference guides, still loving conservation pamphlets). Made a few sheets of handmade paper - sized w/liquid starch, will continue to experiment. A few scrap marbled papers as well while diluting paint (top 2 by my amigo, Ami.)

I learned a lot about fountain pens while writing this. Gold pen nibs aren't because that fancy and classy looking, it's becuase ink is acidic and steel pen nibs corrode, gold plated nibs last longer.

For additional context, this is one of The planners for fountain pen users, paper is really important to the customer base (the paper company actually changed their formula and the 2024 paper was Bad and there were RIOTS, it's fixed now but it was this WHOLE THING)

I love Organic Studios Nitrogen ink, I love it in my broad Pilot Custom Heritage 92 fountain pen, and I love it on tomoe River paper in a repurposed Hobonichi hon planner. All this love is the only reason I can dig deep and get my homework done today.

The passport sized notebook also gets a brass straightedge and the offical Traveler's pen holder, which perfectly holds my offical Traveler's limited edition bullet fountain pen. Which works really well with the thin paper! Very aesthetic. Very consumeristic. Very cringe.

Two blank notebooks. One with the really thin fountain pen friendly paper, the other with normal paper in case I want to sketch something. The special brass clip that cost way too much to hold the pages flat.
