#UrbanGaze #StreetPhotography The aerodynamics of building #skyscrapers in cities w/ hurricanes: A curving design diffuses intense frontal wind loads. #WindowsOnWednesday #ECK #TextureTuesday #Architecture #Photography #Photographers #CityScapes #GeometricShapes #Reflections #ColorADay #BlueTue

A close-up abstract architectural photograph captures the dynamic, curving, and very blue facade of a modern skyscraper, emphasizing its striking geometry and repetition of form. Sharp, dark grey metallic structural ribs sweep gracefully across the frame from top to bottom, creating deep perspective lines that draw the eye into a sharp, sweeping curve. Between these prominent parallel lines, large panels of reflective glass are tinted in vibrant shades of turquoise and cyan, mirroring the sky and casting geometric shadows across the surface.

Engineering-wise, this curved design is not purely aesthetic; it serves a crucial function in aerodynamics and structural mechanics. The curvature helps deflect and redistribute wind loads more efficiently than a flat surface, reducing the lateral forces acting on the building.

It's hard to believe that the city of Barcelona will have all kinds of crews in the streets installing Christmas lights next month. I swear time goes by faster the older I get. #streetphotography #christmas season #christmaslights #photography #barcelona
