Below is my pitch, and if that where your whistle, I have the Prologue and first 2 chapters posted to my website in my pinned post. At 300 followers I post chapter 3!
In a world where war does not exist, one has arrived at their doorstep. Two hundred years ago, the Redeemer's Faithful arrived from beyond the void. Finding themselves unable to return home and terrified of the people of their new world, they demanded a city be built away from the rest of society and sealed its gates. Amidst preparation for the All Gods Festival, Roderika, Daughter of the Sovereign of the Tower City, has been chosen as the first representative of her people to visit the Faithful's Holy City. Her Father has worked tirelessly for decades to integrate these reclusive refugees into greater society, so she pushes past her own hesitance and recruits her childhood friend Arlo as guardian and companion for her journey across the Alliance of the Nine. Roderika's partner Tala, suspicious of the Faithful's newfound cooperation and resentful of their bigotry towards her people, remains behind. She recruits their former magic tutor Henet to investigate the Church, hoping to learn more about their enigmatic ways and discern their true motives. Mary, a Sister of the Faith, is desperate to return home and be free of the man looming over her life the last seven years. She is assigned to Roderika as her Handmaiden during their pilgrimage and through her she may yet find a freedom she has been too trapped to even wish for. But as Roderika gets closer to the Holy City and the Festival draws nearer, a subtle threat grows. The Faithful have not been idle these past centuries, and intend to march the world towards an event that will shatter a millennia old peace. THE NIGHT OF FALLEN GODS is a 140,000 word Adult Fantasy Novel, and draws inspiration from modern events and other works like Tres of the Emerald Sea and Avatar the Last Airbender. It is ultimately a story about acceptance, self determination, and hope in the face of atrocity.

On this date in 1937 Bobby Doerr made his MLB debut going 3-5 in the Red Sox 11-6 victory over the Philadelphia Athletics. Doerr played 14 seasons for the Sox hitting .288, with 223 HR’s, 1,247 RBI’s, a .823 OPS and a 51.4 WAR. He was a 9x AS and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1986.

1941 NL MVP had 4 sons who played professional baseball, but only one reached the majors. Doug Camilli served as a backup catcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers & Washington Senators, catching a Sandy Koufax no-hitter and winning a World Series in his 9-year career. Camilli, 89, died on March 17.

RIP to Doug Camilli, who was a second-generation ballplayer as well as a second-generation Dodger. The former catcher and coach died at his home in Vero Beach, FL, on March 17. He was 89 years old. Camilli, son of former All-Star and 1941 NL MVP Dolph Camilli, played for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1960-64) and Washington Senators (1965-67, 1969). Dolph and Doug Camilli from the 1941 season. Happy Heavenly Birthday to Harry Agganis who tragically passed away from a Pulmonary Embolism at the age of 26 on June 27, 1955. Agganis from Lynn, MA was a College All American Quarterback at Boston University, but chose to play Baseball over the NFL. He played For the Red Sox 1n 1954 & 55.
