One of public goods of well-funded public institutions is to be custodian of Australian heritage properties they own And poorly funded institutions fail at If they really are completely non-functional for custodians, and can be a public good, then ok - let's not be inflexible Australian values?

There are some great movies.... On the Beach was based on English/Australian novelist Nevil Shute. Which was a great book to read.

I’m going to dial back on reposting about America’s concentration camps and terrorising the sane part of the population. I’m still gonna support you all but it’s affecting my mental health. Last night I had a horrific nightmare about being locked up at Alligator Alcatraz. And I’m in Australia😳

It is really an appalling attitude by this cabinet of senior Ministers and makes our department of foreign affairs look very mediocre, not to mention the government, ASIO and the Australian Federal Police turning a blind eye as well.

This is a perfect summary of the way Australian businesses treat customers which is opposite to the rest of the region. Optus just emailed me (a long timer) that they've removed a feature but I'll be paying the same price. No discounts. Nothing

Under a half way decent government this could be an opportunity to turn the corner on the housing crisis by building thousands of new high quality public housing units in key locations across Australia - a flagship project that could be repeated on other unused or under-utilised government land.
A screenshot of an article headline in the Guardian. It reads: "Albanese government to sell off $3bn worth of historic defence sites amid push to free up space for new homes". The subheading reads: "Richard Marles has decided to sell more than 60 properties, including Victoria Barracks in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane."

This is so mental. The media has so much to answer for. Like you are safe at home in Australia. Especially in Vic, which is safer than NSW or QLD. Regional NT is maybe the only place with real genuine systemic issues. Not the odd random b&e. #Auspol #SpringSt
