Backyard, earlier this morning. A long-term project I'll probably never finish. Bottlebrush grass, goldenrod, and asters and other things not visible replaced hostas around the big oak.

Hydrangea flower - shades of purple, sky blue and white all in one bloom. Bought this hydrangea at Trader Joeā€™s like 5 years ago, and popped it in the ground. It took!

Hereā€™s the pictures I took this morning after that wild thunderstorm last night! It looks so nice with all the mulch doesnā€™t it? I still need three bags more, but thatā€™s okay, Iā€™ll get to it. The dry river bed and pond held up to the rain downpour quite well, but I will broaden the rock area. šŸŒ±
Picture of my beautiful cottage with the deck and the fence and the new flowerbeds almost entirely mulched with nice brown mulch, and all the plants, vegetables, herbs, and flowers tucked into it. You can also see the new gray concrete square pavers laid into the beds.
The trickiest area of the flower bed next to the sidewalk in my front door, but I fixed the trench and laid the edging down and put all the cardboard and mulch down as well, and thereā€™s four pavers that kind of cut across because I know people will do that (including myself!) towards the sidewalk
Another picture of the larger pie slice area to the left. You can see my herbs and tomato plants in the middle is my squash in the back corner. Thereā€™s a new line of bean seeds and the farthest corner. Thereā€™s some beautiful wildflowers and shrubs and to the right is my wildlife pond surrounded by rocks and you can see the fountain going
The last area to show off is to the left of the giant rhododendron bush so this is a bit of a shady area in the afternoon, and so I put Irish moss hostas coral bells, and heal all in this area, and you can see the wildlife on just around the corner of the building, and where the mulch got washed away a little bit from the hole at the end of the gutter, so I will add more rocks there
