As a kid I used to wear specific costumes, but beginning with high school, I wore costumes made up of different articles of clothing and costume pieces. My absolute favorite among them was when I dressed as spirit named Samhain Spectre last year.

As a polyfrag system, you're gonna see us mention "fragments” a lot. But what exactly are those? Simply put, a fragment is a system member who isn't fully differentiated or developed. Polyfragmented systems are known for having a lot of these- it's in the name.

For every fully developed headmate we (as a system) have, we have like 20 fragments with hyper-specific roles and archetypes

in our experience, fragments tend to exist frozen in time, stuck in the confines of their identity. I'd best describe it as like a fictional character who always exists within the context of the status quo.

That's not to say fragments can never change or develop! Fragments are people in their own right. Many of ours are able to converse with the rest of the system and have intersys friendships and other relationships Their ability to self-actualize is just severely limited. A lot of ours are barely able to conceptualize being a person rather than a character or role. Many don't (and can't) develop outside of taking care of one particular task, or holding one particular emotion or memory. It gets pretty ridiculous when you fragment to the degree we have.
