Sept update. I read: - The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett - The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong - Casting Off by Elizabeth Jane Howard Wasn’t in the right headspace for Long Live Evil, and The Baby Dragon Bakery was too ‘cosy fantasy’ for my tastes, so both went back to the library.

Sept reading goals: - Long Live Evil by Sarah Rees Brennan - The Baby Dragon Bakery by A. T. Qureshi - Casting Off by Elizabeth Jane Howard - Something from the TBR shelves - Borders of Infinity by Lois McMaster Bujold (short story collection) Library books, TBR shelves, and Vorkosigan re-read 📚

2026 Book 41: The Keeper of Magical Things by Julie Leong (f 10/10). Another entertaining and not too cosy fantasy from this author, featuring an adorable cat-dragon 🐈‍⬛ Total: 33 books, 5 novellas, 3 graphic novels

am in a cosy phase too! i usually have more than one book going. so am reading a different cosy fantasy romance but it's not bad enough to make me bounce but not good enough to recommend.
