After watching a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, I’m finally going back and watching the second season of House of the Dragon.

I think having only two main characters also means the writing/plotting is less labored. House of the Dragon is bogged down by trying to adapt a text book.

House of the Dragon was pretty good! Even if I was confused about a quarter of the time. But this show is way better.
Two successful spinoffs kinda washes the stink off the way the original show ended. Martin is either hiring good people or staying involved. These shows are his legacy.

So true. My general take is that Wheel of Time was good, but probably too much. I did all of A Song of Ice and Fire and Wheel of Time in 2014. If I tried to read all of those now it would probably take me five years. I apparently read Memory of Light in ten days and that just boggles my mind now.

Trying to disparage a reading on a character because it doesn't talk about the Japanese folk roots of the character also misses the fact that the other main writer of ER is GRRM. While I haven't read his books SA plays a part in them so why can't people read the story of the Dung Eater in two ways.
