Late Night We don’t stop when the sun goes down. There is ALWAYS something to do at the con of opportunity. Programming runs until midnight, the Gaming Room stays open all night long, and our attendees throw some amazing room parties. DJ Drae runs a dance on Friday and Saturday nights. And on both Friday and Saturday nights, there will be room parties hosted by our attendees. If you’re interested in hosting a room party (or just want to be where the action is!), be sure to let the hotel know that you want to be on the party floor and also fill out our Party Notification Form. Please note that some late-night panels may be restricted to ages 18 and up and some parties may be restricted to ages 21 and up. Please remember to bring your IDs. And, as always, be mindful of the city’s curfew laws.
Panels & Events You can always count on LOTS of great programming at RavenCon. We schedule over 300 hours of programming in one weekend! That includes: Panel discussions Events for Kids and Young Adults Workshops Readings Signings Roundtables Concerts Book Launches Movies And lots more! We even have our very own Escape Room!
Volunteers Making a convention come together relies on more than just the staff who contact the guests, secure the hotel, and schedule events. Making a con happen relies on individuals who want to be a part of the magic; a good convention can’t happen without good volunteers. Volunteers can be called on to do a wide variety of tasks; checking badges, monitoring panels, helping out in logistics, escorting guests, or assisting with cosplay eventsβ€”these are just some of the things you could help us with. If you are a photographer or videographer and have your own equipment you can volunteer and help in those areas by requesting on the sheet. Plus, if you give a little to RavenCon, we will give back to your convention registration fees…

From modern music to traditional filking, geek rock, wizard rock, goth rock, funny music… we’ve got it all. There will be hours and hours of musical performances throughout the convention by some of the most talented musicians we could find on the convention circuit.
RavenCon is a fan-run event and we’re not the only fan group out there. Not by a long shot. When you’re at the convention, stop by and talk to some of the other fan groups that will be here to promote their organizations. We have an entire hall dedicated to promoting these groups.
Kids’ Programming at The Rookery Reaching out to the younger generations of fandom is very important to all of us here at RavenCon. We take extra pride in putting together our Kids’ Programming every year. We work on making the whole weekend filled with things to do for kids. To give you an idea of the variety we put together, these are a few of the things that we’ve done in the past: SHIELD agent training Special craft projects Pizza parties Writing workshops Ghost stories Laser tag Quidditch Jedi training Martial Arts Training Dungeons and Dragons for kids Magic card tricks Knitting & Crochet Costume Parade We don’t know what’s in store for this year yet, but we know it’s gonna be fun!
