I didn't get a chance to watch NIGHTFALL when Criterion did their Jacques Tourneur retrospective several months ago, so this is much appreciated. #TheNoirCollective

One of my absolute favorite noirs, so I couldn’t be more thrilled that the brilliant @willmckinley.bsky.social is hosting this watch party. If you are around on Wednesday, please join us. 😊😊 – Tommy, monitoring #TheNoirCollective feed today

THIS WED at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT, host @willmckinley.bsky.social casts new light on Jacques Tourneur’s stunning study in urban paranoia, the 1956 #filmnoir classic NIGHTFALL. We’ll be leaving it to Will to make all further announcements. 😊 #TheNoirCollective Link to watch: archive.org/details/nigh...

I'm so sorry I missed this watch party, too...but looking forward to watching my #Lured recording later on and reading all the commentary and conversation along with it! #TCMParty #TheNoirCollective

Same! I appreciate everyone’s fascinating contributions, but I’m just a meager fan of these wonderful old movies. #Lured #TheNoirCollective

BIG THANKS ❤️🍿 to @tcmparty.bsky.social @thenoircollective.bsky.social @vanstanwyck.bsky.social and @tommykrasker.bsky.social for a fantastic and fun watch party! I enjoyed the movie much more than I have in the past for all the great info and love you shared! #Lured #TCMParty #TheNoirCollective

The Ambassador Theater in Raleigh, NC, in 1947, when it was showing the movie Lured.
This 1477 seat Art Deco-style theater was designed by Erle Stillwell and opened in 1938 on the site of a previous theatre that had a devastating fire. It was less than a block from the State Capital building and was larger and more elaborate than its narrow frontage let on. It extended back and into 2 additional lots facing the street behind it. The Ambassador was designed for movies and live performances, featuring a full stage, fly lofts, and six dressing rooms.

I knew that because I'm forever bitter that Coburn beat out Rains in Casablanca. 😂 #TCMParty #TheNoirCollective
