AIRLINE 7214 AMP-IN-CASE - one pickup, black solidbody electric guitar made by Supro/Valco of Chicago IL in 1964. These were direct competitors (although never produced in the same numbers) to Sears/Silvertone amp-in-case guitars (models: 1448 & 1457) with a thinner body, simplified tone and volume controls on the guitar. And, one jack, one volume control, and a fuse on the exterior of the amp-in-case. These did not open up like the Silvertones; which opened like a book and stand vertically. The guitar slides into the case with the neck behind the speaker. They made one and two pickup versions of the guitar kit. This one suffered some damage along the way and the lower cutaway has been chipped. (Calling Pete Shelley!)Description from VintageSilvertones.com

Simplest test in harmony: Play G, B, D. Lowest note to highest — did you leave the octave? No? It’s closed voice. That’s the whole test. Now open it: take the middle B up an octave, 7th fret high E string. Same three notes, different chord. It’s a stretch. Try it anyway. #guitar
