Plus though i need to move away from substack think about, i think even how what it means for a human to be a author is something we need to be aware of as disabled people because many people are pushing for it not to include accomdations

There's a great recent blog post by @jntod.bsky.social on his essential Some Flowers Soon substack about Logue's War Music, including extracts from an interview by Noel-Tod. substack.com/home/post/p-...

Has been coming for a while now. The first inkling for me was Robert promoting his books/increasing substack output. Whilst I'll miss the presenters, it's a sign that EVs/green tech are now mainstream and thus FCS/EE is less necessary. So long as 'Almost Breaking News' is retained then all good.

My latest Substack is about learning to let go - and how hard that can be when our reactions are instantaneous. You can check out the full piece by clicking below…

The Hardest Thing

The wisest people keep giving the same advice. It is simple, universal - and the hardest thing to actually do.

I agree. And. I’m also interested in what it means to cede space, whatever limited space that is. I appreciate the people who have, for instance, written thoughtfully about Jason Arday on Substack, even as most of the writing about him there is racism. (Not racist, racism.)

i think substack has been bad for academics' brains

It’s honestly so much I could be proud of: — I published over 40+ articles from ATELIER, Essence, Hello Beautiful, Las Vegas Sun News & my Substack — I was honored as one of 2026’s Most Influential People — I’m up for GRAMMY®️ Consideration — I won an award for my styling 2026 has been good to me.

STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING RIGHT NOW ‼️ I WANT YOU TO ACKNOWLEDGE HOW FAR YOU’VE COME IN YOUR LIFE PICK ONE SPECIFIC THING THAT YOU’VE ACCOMPLISHED THIS YEAR AND CELEBRATE YOURSELF RIGHT NOW ‼️ DON’T FOCUS ON THE SCALE OF THE ACHIEVEMENT(S) FOCUS ON THE FACT THAT YOU DID AND YOU’RE DOING THAT SHIT ‼️

(5 minutes back on Bluesky and I realize how utterly insufferable Substack Notes is. Perhaps I need the bad to balance the okay?)

Google the book genopace or find the genopace podcasts on substack and spotify. It's time to learn from history and change things.

Hmmmm. W is directional media and water cooler conversation IMHO. Unless I have it wrong. Medium + Substack have long form with comments. Substack is problematic like X but conceptually, a newsletter model and audience ‘ownership’ and engagement for long form exists elsewhere already.
