Big sad about Tim Curry's passing, but very happy with Rocky Horror X EMCA. I always liked the conversation between Riffraff and Brad+Janet at the castle door. Brad's angling for an offer from Riffraff, R's inapposite observation of their wetness, Janet's glance to Brad after saying it's raining.

Our ICOP-L2 panel on respecifying and exploring engagement (especially in second language use or learning contexts) from an EMCA perspective came together quite well. Now to start shopping it as a special issue.

My timeline is full of Tim Curry (am massive Rocky Horror fan) but I only just thought how interactionally studyable it is, from the delivery of "antici- (~3.5) pation" to audience participation. Plus he breaks the fourth wall several times, re. current research 👀🔍
