I am at least very glad that ACM (barely) allowed actual humans access to the "most authoritative sources of computing research" before considering allowing LLM access. (The digital library went open access in January.) If paywalled publishers allow robots but not humans that is some garbage.

Y'all know how much I care about open access (which was why I had pre-prints of all of my ACM papers on my website before I was able to start publishing them all CC-licensed) but it is wiiiiiiild how overrepresented arxiv and ssrn are when an LLM response includes literature recommendations.

Something that really makes me grumpy is how many of these publishers are quick to let giant evil AIs access all their papers before letting just regular human taxpayers who paid for most of this work have open access to this research :/

Enhancing Tumor Perfusion and Nanomedicine Delivery by Modulating Vascular Tone with Methyl Palmitate Nanoparticles

Despite a few clinical successes, the efficacy of cancer nanomedicines remains limited by rapid clearance by the mononuclear phagocytic system and poor permeation across the abnormal tumor vasculature...
