A cobble from the Westleton Beds of the Norwich Crag - a nice example of a Picture Flint, a vision-inducing pattern of iron staining, aka Café au Lait patterning beloved of @pavementgeology.bsky.social. The Westleton Beds were deposited in tundra conditions - is that why I see a phantom Polar Bear?
A split flint cobble displaying concentric bands of iron staining, with variable shades of russet and brown. The core of the nodule has a purplish tint outlining a pale irregular splodge.
