Enterprise-A and Kronos One, STAR TREK VI: THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY (1991)
The USS Enterprise-A escorts Kronos One through Federation space.

ILM Visual effects Director Bill George described the changes made to the K'Tinga class studio model for its appearance as Kronos One following its appearance in 1979's STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE: "The model needed to be repainted anyway, so I proposed that we make it look very distinct from those in the first film, especially since it was one of the few models we could alter to look new for this show. We did some research into military costuming, and came up with the concept that when these ships return victorious from battle, the Klingons build some sort of epaulet onto their wings or paint a new stripe on. We painted the model brown and red with gold highlights, then added golden etched brass epaulets on it, based on some of the helmet designs we'd seen. It contrasts nicely with the Enterprise, which is very smooth and monochromatic and cool, while this Klingon ship is very regal and ostentatious and warm."

A ★★★★★ review of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004)

This is a film based on Homer's Odyssey. This is not a joke or a flippant stretch of imagination: the key narrative arc is about the wrath of Poseidon leading to a crazy journey. And that's not even i...

Interesting bit in this Variety article about The Odyssey where the American writer takes issue with the characters' American accents, dismisses Greek accents as "a bit much", & argues that British (I assume he really means English) accents would have been fine. variety.com/2026/film/ne...
Every character in Nolan’s film not only has an American accent but does little to adjust their tone of voice. It’s especially jarring in the cases of Benny Safdie’s ruthless warrior Agamemnon, since Safdie doesn’t exactly have the most imposing of voices (the film also goes through great pains to avoid showing Safdie’s face), and Jon Bernthal’s Menelaus, king of Sparta, who sounds just like, well, streetwise Jon Bernthal. Having every actor affect a Greek accent would be a bit much, so perhaps the British-accent route, a la “I, Claudius,” would prove less distracting.

Saw The Odyssey this weekend and loved it, one of the best films of the year from a cinematic perspective But what I truly loved was Nolan’s thematic choices—people who brutalize become brutalized animals themselves, & dishonorable violence eventually grows to consume society entire boxd.it/fijsVJ

What a film. There were so many scenes at sea, in Troy, with the shades, and at Lamos that were genuinely awe inspiring and kept me perpetually thinking about how insanely difficult it must have been ...

Amazon Prime just added EEPHUS, one of the best movies about baseball (and, arguably, small-town America) ever made. Despite great reviews, it's been practically unavailable to see in theaters or streaming. Watch it! #Filmsky

We see three Klingon ships in the first thirty seconds of the movie, they are immediately dispatched and never heard from again. Can’t I have a Motion Picture where instead of a big cloud, the antagonist is a Klingon squadron leader played by Mark Lenard?
