that's like me when i was 11 using ao3 thinking everybody was my age because i read two fics with spelling mistakes (they were very minor and now looking back it was 100% NOT written by a baby LOL)
it's insane but to them people over 21 are probbaly very old. don't get me started on over 25, or 30+

oh definitely. plus there's the discoverability of an existing IP where like, people can just go and find something based on typing in "dandadan." I do want to say i enjoy and write fanworks of my own! But some people have written good novels that are barely fanfic, and i want them to make money
