i brought home a vintage late 80s Husqvarna sewing machine today 😍 it was the backup, occasional machine for a seamstress so im hopeful it'll work out well for me her name is betty

Spotted at an estate sale.

It pays off having bought random bags of attachments from thrift shops because I just realized I have the quick change attachment and feet that match the low shank on my new sewing machine. By vintage when it comes to sewing machines, there built to last.

carver having a vintage sewing machine makes me so happy because my grandfather was a commercial sewing machine repairman for most of his life before that sort of work stopped being profitable. also the town my grandparents lived in was called "carver" so its a cute lil coincidence

I know i'm a vintage machine nerd but there are modern machines that are good machines, like industrials or Berninas or Jukis (or even upper end Vikings/Brothers). When I see the youtuber pull out the White Plastic Bubble Singer my face is always like 😑
