In what I'm retroactively calling "Part 1" we discuss the origins of cards themselves, the roleplay that comes from improvising with the hand you're dealt, and why we love Card-Based Deck-Building RPGs! You can't hold'em OR fold'em; because they're digital! AD-FREE: www.patreon.com/posts/car….

AI is killing privacy. We can’t let that happen

In the age of AI, data won’t just reflect who we are, but will also help shape who we become. To take back control, remember a centuries-old invention.

This on the money. Obviously it’s possible we’re at the top for AI/Nvidia, but Thiel often sells off his stakes well before the top in any given market cycle.

Peter Thiel selling is not a signal. One of his defining features as an investor has been to sell early when he can take outsized profits and hedge. For example, he would be massively richer if he had never sold most of his stake in Facebook.

A conversation in Doha, Qatar last week left me wondering whether the sense that the world is spinning out of control is more of a Western phenomenon than a global one. In the latest Earthling, I try to sort that out, with help from Yeats, Trump, and Netanyahu—and a visit to Doha's falcon souq.

reading this it looks like the breaking rust news cycle was basically BS. we're talking about a chart that reflects paid digital downloads, which is (a) a market with almost no customers (b) one you could (I think) buy your way to the top of by spending $2500 www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech….
