"Captain's log, Stardate 1996.2. The U.S.S Saturn has arrived in orbit around the planet Möbius, where we have been contacted by a curious spiky lifeform. This being, who identified himself as the 'Blue Blur', has requested that we send down a delegation bearing a foodstuff called 'chilli dogs'"
A loading screen logo for the Sega Away Team, a short-lived development team within Sega. They have the usual Sega loogo above SEGA AWAY TEAM, with four sparkly beams of blue light that have got to be a Trek reference.

Yes yes people have been writing about CoreWeave for however long but only @lopatto.bsky.social got the company's spox to say on the record that they're not doing circular financing but instead "defining the next-generation operating system for civilization.” www.theverge.com/ai-artif….
“These investments are not circular; they are complementary,” CoreWeave’s Davis wrote. “This is about an entire ecosystem all rowing in the same direction to accelerate the AI economy. There’s nothing circular about it. Rather, these partnerships are about accelerating innovation and adoption. We are, collectively, defining the next-generation operating system for civilization.”

Trump’s first instinct after he’s had a falling out with someone is to have them threatened with murder and then make jokes about it.

"I worry a little bit about paternalism around the narrative of slop. We need to be looking at this new medium as raising the floor of what could be created before and giving minimum access to people who didn’t have access before." www.wired.com/story/fidji-...

What would a bailout even be, though? TARP was to buy distressed assets, and in this case, what would those be? Mag7 companies aren't going bankrupt. OpenAI can't be "bailed out" in the same way, as it'll keep burning money. And no, oAI is not some giant "propaganda conspiracy."

The AI bubble may be about to bust. Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock. We all need to say this very clearly: NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH! Expropriate their asses instead. They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet. They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

Yes RFK Jr. sir you are correct there is a war on saturated fats and we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.

RFK Jr says he will end the "war" on saturated fats, contradicting decades of evidence-based dietary recommendations. "We’re ending the war on saturated fats in this country. So, we’re going to publish dietary guidelines that are going to stress the importance of protein and saturated fats."

Can't say I love this logo. Also, here's an ad for the then still-new MSNBC that appeared in a Sept. 1996 edition of PC Magazine.
