This colorful band is part of the Green Mountain herd in Wyoming #photography #wildhorses

Standing on a sagebrush and grass covered hillside that also makes up the background of the image, we see a stout black and white pinto mare standing next to a palomino pinto stallion. They are taking a rest, just hanging out together without grazing and looking peaceful and relaxed. There is a third horse that we can't quite see behind the palomino stallion.

A little further along on the same hillside, a black pinto mare stands with her bay pinto two year old colt. The mare is looking towards the camera while the colt is looking at his mom. In front to them, a chestnut pinto foal is flat out on the ground sleeping in the grass.
