From Second Carpathians #WIPSnips #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

Herecic glanced up, saw Visser staring at him expectantly. Yes, he thought, this was a conversation. It was his turn to say something. He was supposed to speak now.
Instead, he shoved back from the exquisite, tropical hardwood desk and lurched unsteadily to his feet. He held onto his chair until the inevitable wave of dizziness passed; he shouldn’t have gotten up so fast. Then he made his way carefully to the sweeping wall of windows, staring at the garden below.
All of this, he had done. He categorized them in his mind, thinking about the science, the work, the inventions and products, the return on investment those vines, flowers, shrubs, creepers, even the simple algae spreading over the surface of a quiet pond represented.
What did he have to show for it? What had his reward been? A credit account, yes. He could buy… things. But not life. Not his own cure.
He turned back, feeling something new to go with an anger so profound he had never experienced its like before.
This was desperation. He had nothing left to lose.
“You have got to be fucking kidding me,” he said.
Visser arched a perfectly sculpted eyebrow. “Excuse me?”
“Decades of work,” he said. “I gave you all of this,” he added with a sweeping gesture, indicating the garden below. “And you want me to hire my own boss?”

TTRPG designer friends - Has anyone found a non Mixam zine printer they like? I've been putting off ordering reprints for way too long because I haven't had time to research alternatives.
